Simon is the only son of a poor farmer and his wife. His father was a perpetual drunkard, constantly in an alcoholic haze from too much hard cider. His mother struggled to keep food on the table for the family. Thus, Simon had to learn at a young age how to help provide for them.
Simon began stealing food and money at a young age, but was soon caught. However, since he was just a child, he was let off with a warning. An experienced thief took Simon under his wing and taught him the most important rule of thievery, how not to get caught.
When Simon's father finally died, his mother moved back with her family. Simon, however, moved in with the local thieves guild.
After years of loyal service to the guild, he and another thief pooled their resources and opened their own inn and tavern. The Silver Colt Inn is a front for the local guild. Thieves on the run will often rent rooms and fencing goes on in one of the back rooms.
Despite being a criminal, Simon is a decent guy. He will not steal from those that can't afford the loss and will usually help someone in a bad situation if he can do so. He likes siding with the underdog if he can get away with it, and firmly believes in justice over the law.
He is a bit quirky. He has a fondness for raisins and will nibble on them when he's under stress, nervous, or deep in thought.
He stands at 5'10". His wavy hair is brown and brushed back, hanging down to his collar when it isn't tied back. He has long, thick sideburns. His pale blue eyes are perpetually gazing around his surroundings. He likes to dress in peasant's clothes; loose brown pants and vest, soft leather boots, cream colored shirt and leather bracers.
