Culain Lachferagh stands at six feet five a towering giant which can seem pretty intimidating especially with his 6 feet long 2-handed sword by his side. His black short hair appeared spiked, like been blown by the wind with striking white streaks emerging from his temples along its length. His deep dark eyes reflect sorrows and anger that seem to eat away at his soul. His knighthood is the only reason for him to go on, to repent his father's sin.
His father was accused of being a traitor and was killed by his fellow knights. He has always look up to his father, a man who lives by a strict code, and it enraged him by what happened as he come to accept it but deep down he had always hope that things would have turn out differently.
At the age of 16 he joined the knighthood that once his father symbolized. He entered as a squire of the Knights of the Crown, with whom he began his training in the virtues of loyalty. He came under the tutor of one of his father's good friend who took him under his wings, and treated him like a son.
His 2-handed sword, Snaga, was a gift to young Culain when he joined the Order of the Crown by Aegies. Culain recognised it as his father's sword and it has always made it easy for him to wield the 6 feet long sword with such wild abandon fuelled by his anger that it seems almost effortless to him. He kept the sword near him as a constant reminder.
When Culain made his plan known to Aeiges that he wanted to pursue the ranks of the Order of the Sword, Aeiges gave him his blessing and told him to set off in his quest and he must then begin his training of virtues of courage and heroism in order to become a Knight of the Sword.
Now after four years since his initiation into the knighthood, he sat on the black war-horse that Aeiges had given him as a going away present. A lance was strapped to the saddle and his 2-handed sword strapped to his back, as he reined the horse out of the gate of Palanthas.
Looking down at the pendant that Aeiges had handed him the night before saying that it was his father's and he wanted him to have it. Still remembering the words that Aeiges said had brought pain and anger to swell in him, "If only your father could see you now."
